I'm the creator of an Open Source video editor called CutWire Drift. (https://github.com/CutWire-Studios/Drift/) Drift is designed from ground up to be a video editor that agents can use. It has a well designed MCP that can be used to control each and every aspect of the editor. Other than that we also have built in support for local AI models like whisper, sam2 for auto subtitles, segmentation etc. To be more transparent I'll tell you the complete story behind the above video. * First I connected Drift's MCP to Claude Code * I used a Claude Pro subscription with Opus 5 model, (high effort) * The rough prompt I gave it (plan mode): Use the drift MCP to create a promotional video about CutWire Drift. Drift has many video editing features like Text effects, Shapes, gradients, Lottie Animations, Transitions, Effects and much more. So first explore the editor to see what features it has, then write a good script for the video. Launch a new agent to look for free…
The prompt behind it.
The creator has not shared a public prompt. Visit the original post for more about this work.
